Musical Zest:
Songs currently on my radar. My intent is to introduce people to new music, music I like but certainly not a representative cross section of my diverse interests.
If you have a suggestion please send it along.
The Juggling Apparatus "Hands":
A neat little juggling apparatus, affectionately
named "Hands", is briefly discussed here because I think it's
pretty damn cool. Hopefully it will someday be the ancestor of a magnificent
gismo. The page is the token remnant of my engineering dayz (other than
the massive amounts of scripting behind the scenes of the website you are
presently enjoying).
Pondered Ponderables:
Do They Put "Real"
Cookie Dough in "Cookie Dough" Ice Cream?
One day Matt and I wondered if Edy's used real cookie
dough. I mean, it tastes like cookie dough but are those over-zealous ice
cream makers trying to pull one over on America? We aimed to find out.
First we bought some cookie dough ice cream and
extracted the cookie dough. Our initial idea was to eat around the cookie
dough and deposit the cookie dough globules in a bowl.

Fun and Crazy People:
If you liked the story above then you'll probably
like these people as well. Personally, I'm a fan of the Astor-Rubik's
Cube prank.
U.S. Travels:
A color shaded U.S. Map
denoting the states I have visited. Most of them were during two cross
country road trips. Slowly I'm filling in the remaining states, I can't
wait to visit Nebraska and see the Shootin' Pit and play Ouija in
Shawn's friend's uncle's farmhouse basement and howl at the wolves from atop hay
stacks and run through corn fields at night and drive motorcycles into combines
- good ole' Nebraska! Don't even get me started on Oklahoma, where the
wind comes sweeping down the plain ...
"Cog":
Honda once made this incredible Rube Goldberg type
commercial. During the progression, water sprayed on a windshield and the
moisture sensor triggered a detached windshield assembly to walk! Tires were
rigged to roll up hill! One hundred percent real, it worked only once from
start to finish, no editing, once after 606 takes and 4 near sleepless days of
filming. Titled "Cog"
for its unassuming beginning, it
is an amazing bit of film and I'll be glad to share the news story if Google
cannot locate a reprint.
You may have to right click the link and,
"Save Target As ..."
Learn to Juggle:
Wouldn't it be great if you could just read some instructions on a website and learn to juggle? Well, you're in
luck! Unfortunately, since I have not the time to generate that most excellent
set of instructions you are going to have to make do with instructions by
another. However, I did locate a very nice link that will guide you
on your quest.

Use the animation below for inspiration while you practice. And if
you get too frustrated you can always learn to wolf
whistle or solve the rubix cube instead. The rubix cube site should have a really cool, 3D, manipulatable cube applet, if not view the old version of the graphics.
Disclaimer: The author is not some sort of crazy juggling fanatic. It's really just a fun little hidden talent.
